From the President's Desk: The Society for Romanian Studies has embarked on new initiatives meant to respond to the expansion of our field, to the advent of an increasingly electronic age, and to the globalization of the scholarly world.As the new SRS president since January 2010 I am committed to transforming SRS into a 21st century organization. I would like it to become an indispensable resource to colleagues and students who study, teach, and write about Romania, Moldova, and these countries' cultures and diasporas.
